Frank Matthew Gjersing, a wildlife biologist with the Montana Fish and Game Department, died June 10, 1983 when the Piper Super Cub airplane he was in struck a transmission line while doing an aerial deer survey.
He earned Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Fish and Wildlife Management from Montana State University and started work with the Department in 1971.
